Job description


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of client and internal projects. This role is ideal for an early-career project professional who is eager to develop their project management expertise while working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and fully remote environment.
 
  • This is an hourly Independent Contractor position, not a full-time employee role that will roughly require a 20-30 hour a week commitment.
  • Candidates must reside in Canada or the United States and be legally authorized to work in their country of residence. Visa or work authorization sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate project meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Prepare project documentation, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Track project resources, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Escalate project risks, issues, and roadblocks when appropriate.
  • Maintain project plans, files, and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent work experience in Business, Project Management, Marketing, Adult Learning, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • CAPM or PMP certification or project management training is considered an asset.
