Job description

HR Coordinator

Hometown Soccer Holdings (HSH) is building a portfolio of locally rooted MLS NEXT Pro clubs, each deeply embedded in its community and built to create lasting connections with fans. As HSH grows its footprint across the country, the organization is investing in the people infrastructure needed to attract, develop, and retain the talent that powers its clubs and central office. The HR Coordinator will serve as a foundational member of the People & Culture team, responsible for the day-to-day coordination, systems, and programming that ensure every HSH employee, from central office staff to local club teams, experiences a consistent, supportive, and well-organized people function. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this role will support the full employee lifecycle across HSH, from recruiting coordination and onboarding through benefits administration and ongoing employee engagement. The HR Coordinator will serve as both an operational backbone and a culture ambassador, working closely with hiring managers, club operators, and external partners to ensure HSH's people processes run smoothly and reflect the organization's values at every touchpoint. This is a compelling opportunity for an organized, people-first HR professional to help build the people function of a growing multi-club organization from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across core HR functions, a strong command of HR systems and administrative processes, and a genuine passion for soccer and sports.

Responsibilities:
  • Support recruiting coordination across HSH and its club portfolio, including job posting management, candidate scheduling, communication, and applicant tracking system maintenance.
  • Own the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring every employee receives a structured, welcoming, and information-rich introduction to HSH and their role.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, serving as a first point of contact for employee questions and coordinating with benefits providers to ensure accurate enrollment and ongoing plan management.
  • Manage and maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and accessibility across the organization.
  • Administer HSH's internship program, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing programming that creates a meaningful experience for interns across club and central office teams.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, helping to plan and execute programs, events, and communications that strengthen culture and connection across a remote, geographically distributed organization.
  • Partner with the VP, People & Culture on HR projects, policy development, and operational improvements that support organizational growth.
  • Build scalable processes and resources that support consistent HR execution across HSH's expanding club portfolio.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
You Have These:
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, people operations, or a related administrative role.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting coordination, onboarding, and benefits administration processes.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and general HR technology tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a people-first approach to every interaction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes and competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting remote or geographically distributed teams strongly preferred.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or multi-unit consumer businesses strongly preferred.
