This remote role offers flexibility while maintaining a highly collaborative climate-controlled virtual work environment. Although the role operates primarily from a home setting, you will interact regularly with other department members and healthcare providers to coordinate care and share insights that enhance patient outcomes.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, using appropriate clinical tools and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to diagnose mental health conditions and create individualized care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patients in managing their diagnoses and improving overall mental well-being.
• Document all clinical interactions and maintain patient care records accurately and timely, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans that reflect patient needs, preferences, and cultural considerations.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure patient safety.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and other healthcare providers, effectively coordinating referrals and fostering relationships with external agencies.
• Engage in mentorship and teaching opportunities, providing guidance and knowledge to interns and volunteers in clinical practices.
• Participate in peer reviews and clinical collaboration as requested by your clinical supervisor to contribute to team development and quality improvement initiatives.

In this role, your primary focus will be on individuals and families who are navigating the complexities of cancer diagnoses. You will engage with a diverse patient population, which necessitates an understanding of various cultural backgrounds and the unique challenges these patients face. Your ability to provide tailored support and interventions will be crucial in helping patients cope with their mental health concerns during difficult circumstances.

• A Master's degree in Social Work is required.
• A current State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient therapy, particularly within oncology or related fields is preferred.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working with cancer patients and their families, understanding the specific emotional and psychological challenges they face. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, alongside proficiency in managing technology for patient records, will be advantageous in this role.
