Your daily responsibilities as a Mental Health Counselor will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and client goals.
• Providing individual therapy sessions, employing diverse therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's journey.
• Setting specific therapeutic goals and consistently monitoring client progress through regular follow-ups.
• Facilitating teletherapy options to accommodate clients who prefer virtual sessions due to geographical barriers or personal preference.
• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation of client interactions to adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Engaging in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and peer supervision.

As a counselor at Healing Trails, you will work with a diverse clientele who seek support for various conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and relationship issues. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a remote working context.

While we welcome newly licensed counselors, preference will be given to those with:

• Experience in providing teletherapy and using digital communication tools effectively.
• A background in trauma-informed care or specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Previous experience in outpatient settings, enhancing your understanding of client needs and therapy dynamics.
