Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity: Senior Full Stack Developer

Design and build secure, scalable backend services, integrations, and content-driven frontends that unify SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and AI capabilities into cohesive digital products.

You will join a team building the integration backbone that connects enterprise platforms - CRM, content, communications, and data systems - with emerging GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) capabilities embedded into customer and employee experiences. You will shape architecture across APIs, event-driven pipelines, and responsive frontends, working in a multi-cloud environment with Infrastructure as Code, secure authentication flows, and enterprise compliance. You will partner with Product, Data, and business teams, navigate architecture and security reviews, and uphold Shift-Left SDLC discipline. Expect meaningful mentorship, influence over technical direction, and room to evolve tooling and practices for speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager of Software Development

Posting Type: New Position

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $142,000

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do:

  • Design and build secure, scalable backend services and integration layers spanning SaaS, enterprise, and AI capabilities.

  • Design, build, and maintain APIs, webhooks, and service-to-service integrations across internal and third-party systems.

  • Build content-driven frontend applications backed by APIs, turning structured content and data into responsive user experiences.

  • Integrate AI and GenAI capabilities into customer- and employee-facing digital products.

  • Implement secure authentication and authorization flows meeting enterprise security and compliance requirements.

  • Build event-driven pipelines and data flows powering product features, automation, and analytics.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Bicep.

  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing to raise team capability.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring:

Required qualifications:

  • 7+ years building production-grade software across backend and frontend, spanning system integration and content-driven web applications.

  • Strong experience designing and maintaining APIs and service-based or event-driven architectures, with hands-on third-party SaaS and enterprise integration.

  • Strong proficiency in a modern backend language (Java, C# / .NET, Node.js, Go, or similar) and a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) across compute, identity, messaging / eventing, and serverless.

  • Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization flows within security and compliance requirements.

  • Solid SQL, data modeling, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar) experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Shift-Left SDLC practices including unit and integration testing, delivered in Agile teams using Jira and Confluence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with headless / decoupled content architectures and framework supporting server-side or static rendering.

  • Experience integrating AI or GenAI platforms into digital products.

  • Familiarity with analytics, logging, monitoring, and streaming / event-driven patterns at scale.

  • Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or other regulated environments.
