• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' historical and recent experiences of trauma and develop personalized treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based methodologies tailored to clients' unique needs.
• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and resilience.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a safe, supportive environment to help patients process trauma and learn effective coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and tailored strategies to stabilize patients.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them with knowledge for recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring complete and organized patient records.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collective effort toward continuous improvement in trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, pursuing ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

This role focuses on a diverse group of clients, primarily adults affected by traumatic experiences. As a counselor, you'll work closely with individuals dealing with PTSD and complex trauma, often stemming from significant life events such as abuse, loss, or disaster. • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, with experience in trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building techniques.
• Proven ability to conduct effective individual and group therapy sessions focused on trauma recovery.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Capacity to remain composed in high-stress situations, ensuring a calm environment for clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications, enhancing documentation and communication processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
