The Community Development Manager is instrumental in driving EforAll's mission and impact within their assigned Geo Community. This role focuses on three key areas: fundraising and resource development, EforAll visibility, and building the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Community Development Manager is responsible for securing local funding and partnerships to support programs, increasing awareness and engagement with EforAll's initiatives, and fostering strong connections among alumni, business leaders, mentors, and community organizations. As a culturally fluent, relationship-driven professional, the Community Development Manager will serve as a local ambassador for EforAll, working to amplify its presence and empower underrepresented entrepreneurs to succeed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Fundraising and Resource Development

  • Develop and execute local fundraising strategies aligned with EforAll's national goals and Geo Community-specific needs.
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities from local businesses, foundations, and individual donors.
  • Collaborate with the national Development team to align local and national fundraising efforts.
  • Plan and execute donor engagement events, such as pitch contests, that double as fundraising opportunities.
  • Manage local fundraising budgets and track ROI on initiatives.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with prospective and existing donors to deepen engagement and support.

EforAll Visibility & Community Engagement

  • Partner with Program Operations & Marketing teams to design and implement localized visibility and community engagement campaigns.
  • Drive lead generation for entrepreneurs and volunteers through targeted outreach efforts.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all local events and initiatives.
  • Act as EforAll's ambassador by attending and representing the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Build awareness of EforAll programming within diverse communities to encourage participation.

Building the Local Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, local businesses, government officials, and organizations.
  • Create opportunities for EforAll alumni to connect with mentors, investors, and business leaders.
  • Facilitate networking events and workshops to foster a strong entrepreneurial community.
  • Collaborate with community-based organizations to provide additional resources for entrepreneurs.
  • Promote opportunities for EforAll alumni to showcase their businesses and engage with potential customers.

Operational Management & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work cross-departmentally with Program Operations , Development, and Marketing teams to align fundraising efforts, community engagement, and organizational goals
  • Develop, manage, and monitor local operating and fundraising budgets to ensure alignment with secured funding, grants, and donor intent
  • Implement and maintain robust CRM practices for effective relationship management and data tracking

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with a strong emphasis on cultural competency and the ability to effectively communicate across diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, community development, or nonprofit management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals in diverse community settings.
  • Strong understanding of local entrepreneurial ecosystems and community dynamics.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with demonstrated cultural competency.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis for relationship management.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of Geo Communities, ranging from small regions to larger urban areas.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience planning and managing community-based events or workshops.
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by underrepresented entrepreneurs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
