What You Will Do:

  • Lead projects focused on medical affairs strategy, integrated evidence planning, real-world evidence study design and execution, and AI-enabled analytics approaches.

  • Develop solutions for evidence generation, real-world data utilization, and omnichannel scientific communications.

  • Contribute to annual revenue targets through successful project delivery and upselling RWE/digital health solutions.

  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations of scientific rigor and regulatory standards.

  • Advise clients on leveraging AI for predictive analytics, medical content automation, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Contribute to Guidehouse thought leadership through white papers and presentations on digital transformation in medical affairs.

  • Support proposal development and client pitches emphasizing digital health and AI capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities for expanding Guidehouse's footprint in tech-enabled medical affairs solutions.

  • Mentor junior consultants and foster a collaborative environment aligned with Guidehouse's RISE values.

Associate Directors are responsible for managing projects from cultivation to completion. In this role, you will lead the activities of the designated project team and support the day-to-day management of the client relationship. You will effectively develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your work products are high quality and client-ready. In this visible role, you'll lead team meetings and guide, manage, and coach staff consultants, providing constructive feedback on their project participation and overall career development. You will also collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors, keeping them abreast of project progress and important developments. You will also take part in sales initiatives and practice development.

What You Will Need:

  • BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related course of study.

  • 6+ years of experience in medical affairs and RWE within pharma, biotech, or consulting.

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development, global regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.

  • Proven experience with real-world data sources, digital health platforms, and AI analytics.

  • The ability to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and develop effective strategies.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey strategic recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management.

  • 3+ years of experience leading project engagements which includes planning, scoping, budget development, management and resource allocation, and managing multiple or more complex projects within scope, timeline and budget.

  • 3+ years of formal management of team performance to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.

  • Must be willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30% of the time.

  • Demonstrated success formally supervising, coaching and mentoring junior level staff including ownership and guidance of their career development.

  • Must be collaborative and a team player.

  • Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master's in Life Sciences preferred).

  • Experience working and collaborating with senior leadership to pursue add-on and cross business opportunities at external clients.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
