JOB SUMMARY:

Interns are involved in many aspects of the sales process, such as developing profitable new business, growing existing sales, and account management. The 2027 McLane summer internship will provide intensive sales and account management training and real-world sales projects that students will complete by the end of the program. The sales intern will work closely with a designated mentor throughout the season. Interns have the potential to be a full-time teammate after anticipated graduation.

JOB DUTIES:

A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Conduct special studies in conjunction with a sales-focused project, analyze data, make recommendations, and create a final presentation.
  • Be responsible for account focused project assignments, research, and analysis.
  • Use the computer network and standard proprietary software; prepare reports analyzing specific aspects of department structures, functions, and/or operational procedures.
  • Utilize current or department specific software to complete assignments.

Other job duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A teammate in this position must:

  • Have obtained at least a junior status in a Bachelor's degree program with completion of a minimum of 48 semester credit hours; OR be enrolled in a Graduate degree program.
  • Be able to work full-time from mid-May to the end of July of 2027.
  • Be a junior or senior with an anticipated graduation date prior to May 2028.
  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
  • Be willing to relocate out of state during the summer internship and if hired as a full-time teammate after graduation.

NOTES:

Accepting students nationwide! Candidates do not have to be local to the Temple, TX area.

Travel, lodging, meal expenses, and equipment will be provided by McLane during the internship.

Travel is 100%.

Hourly rate of pay is $22.00.

Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
