About the Job:

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You'll Do:

  • Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) "Radiography Practice Standards" and the ASRT "Code of Ethics"
  • Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
  • Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the "APIE" model.
  • Performs venipuncture
  • Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Who You Are:

  • Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school
    • Twenty-four month clinical internship required
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
  • ARRT certification, Required
    • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
  • Experience with Epic, Preferred
