Brief Summary of Position
The responsibilities of this individual are to provide technical lead in automotive new program acquisitions, existing program development activities, and act as liaison between customers and Yinlun HQ China. You will collaborate with our engineering team to develop new applications and improve upon existing ones that will serve our clients and business well. Must be able to objectively analyze application performance and effectively implement necessary changes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Function as the primary technical interface to customers, explore potential opportunities, and take lead of new business acquisition activities.
2. Visit customers frequently to obtain the latest developments of customers and competitors. Identify customer specific needs, preferences, and gain constructive feedback.
3. Investigate and collect customer and competitor information, monitor the market performance of competitors' related products in the field of use and the OEM side, and make suggestions for the company to make market decisions.
4. Develop & promote existing & new products for business acquisition with technical presentation.
5. Understand and interpret customers' RFQ requirements and prepare technical solutions to meet customer requirements for packaging and performance.
6. Analyze and compile customer's technical requirements and specifications to extract performance and functional criteria.
7. Provide customer engineering estimates and a high-level technical explanation on the quote, manage all technical aspects of RFQ responses.
8. Facilitate 3D and 2D models' development balancing the customer requirements and internal performance standards, and new concept development with customer and internal design team by conducting feasibility study.
9. Support customer design change ideas & cost reduction plan; Effectively collaborate with customers on engineering change process and lead internal implementations.
10. Resolve customer in/postproduction issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management.
11. Coordinate project activities with customers and internal teams for program timing/delivery, industrialization, APQP process (DVP&R, DFMEA).
12. Implement pre-sale, in-sale and after-sale customer service, and handle customer complaints in a timely manner according to procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace) required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive heat exchangers/cooling system development.
Experience with EV vehicle thermal system, battery cooling, HVAC/heat pump system a plus
Experience in any of the following manufacturing methods a plus: plastic injection molding, aluminum casting, CAB brazing, stamping.
CAD design experience (Catia V5, UG/NX, Solid works, Pro/E or Creo) a plus
Familiar with APQP process, 8D reporting, FMEA, DVP&R, and program management.
Ability to handle multiple projects, complete tasks on-time, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Strong sense of responsibility, dedication, clear thinking, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal communication, organization and coordination skills, and team spirit.

Travel: international travel to China, Mexico
