Job description

At Relativity Space, we're building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that's just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.
Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven't been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you're in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you'll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we're writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it's early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.
About the Team:
The Talent Acquisition does more than just fill roles; we architect how Relativity grows. You'll partner closely with hiring managers, understand the gaps they're facing, and design hiring strategies around those needs. You're a trusted partner shaping not only who we hire, but how we hire. From building scalable interview frameworks to creating a candidate experience that reflects our values, the team lays the foundation for the long-term success of Relativity.
Our University Recruiting team is looking for a full lifecycle Senior University Recruiter who will manage all intern programming including budget, events, mid-term reviews with hiring managers, exit interviews with interns, and be the main go-to person for when interns are onsite in one of our locations. You will partner closely with University student groups, professors, and career centers to plan events for year-round recruiting. This Recruiter will also be expected to develop an understanding of the business objectives of our teams, and leverage this knowledge to serve as a consultant to our hiring managers.
About the Role:
We're looking for a contract Senior University Recruiter to help lead on our early talent strategy-from building best-in-class intern programs to creating meaningful long-term university partnerships. You'll own the full lifecycle for intern and new grad hiring across multiple disciplines and play a key role in driving Relativity's future workforce. We are looking for someone who has led high-volume, year-round university recruiting programs (100+ interns/year) and knows how to operate in a fast-changing, high-growth environment. You'll partner with engineering and business leaders, career centers, and student orgs alike-bringing structure and insight to our existing program.
In partnership with the rest of the University Team you will:
  • Lead the full lifecycle recruiting process for interns and new grads-from sourcing to interviews, offers, and conversion.
  • Manage the end-to-end intern experience including onboarding, programming, mid-term check-ins, final reviews, and exit interviews.
  • Build strong partnerships with career centers, professors, and student groups; plan and execute recruiting events and outreach strategies.
  • Use data and feedback to improve our funnel, streamline operations, and help shape an inclusive, equitable process.
  • Collaborate with our employer branding team to strengthen our presence on campus and bring Relativity's mission to life for students.
  • Travel to campuses and events throughout the year, with a heavy fall season.

Onsite requirements: This is an onsite role. You can expect work 5 days a week onsite at our Long Beach Headquarters to support all onsite interviews, occasional onsite team meetings, and hiring manager discussions.
About You:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle university recruiting experience at a fast-growing company with a robust internship program (100+ interns/year).
  • Demonstrated success running internship and new grad programs that deliver high conversion and strong candidate experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships with key university stakeholders, such as career centers, faculty, student orgs.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Confident, collaborative communicator who can influence at all levels.
  • Committed to equitable hiring and inclusive candidate experiences.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently during peak recruiting season.

Nice to haves but not required:
  • Industry experience in tech, aerospace, engineering, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse, RippleMatch, Yello or similar tools.
  • Strong data fluency-able to track pipeline metrics, DEI outcomes, and ROI on events.
