Job description

Description:

Candidates sought to provide on-site technical support in quantum science research (to include quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communications) to the program manager. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in one or more of these areas as well as experience in managing the execution of technical projects and programs.

 

Requirements:

  • PhD (Masters with additional years of work experience) in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 5 years of experience with research and computing, specifically in quantum
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights into current and next-generation research topics, preferably with hands-on leadership of research programs at the performer level in multidisciplinary fields.

 

Desired capabilities and characteristics:

  • Experience working a program through its full life cycles
  • Experience with technical research, development, and engineering experience across a breadth of applied technical projects
  • Familiarity with the DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual environment.
  • Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team within a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment.

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Salary range for the position is $150,000 - $250,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
