As a National Security Solutions - Signal Processing Intern:
  • Assists in developing, simulating, and analyzing signal processing algorithms for array-based systems.
  • Works on beamforming and array processing implementations and performance evaluation.
  • Implements and tests algorithms primarily in MATLAB (Python optional).
  • Builds simulation frameworks to evaluate array geometries, beam patterns, and system performance.
  • Processes and visualizes signal and array data for analysis and reporting.
  • Supports integration of signal processing code into larger research or prototype workflows.
  • Uses git-based workflows for version control, collaboration, and code review.
  • Documents methods, assumptions, and results clearly for technical review.
  • Collaborates with engineers and researchers to iterate on models, simulations, and results.

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Coursework or experience in signal processing, array processing, beamforming, or RF systems.
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB for simulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with fundamental signal processing concepts (sampling, filtering, FFTs, etc.).
  • Comfort working with numerical simulations and performance analysis.
  • Experience with git or similar version control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to Python or other scientific computing tools is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior research, lab, or project experience in signal processing or communications is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Sumer 2026
Requirement:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
