SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Solutions Engineer to join our growing Digital team. This role will focus on enhancing and modernizing our existing Python-based workflows hosted on AWS, while developing new integrations between business platforms and incorporating logic that supports operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate has a foundation in software development, is eager to learn modern cloud and integration frameworks, and can work closely with non-technical stakeholders to deliver practical, reliable solutions. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, requiring on -site presence in alignment with business needs.
W orking hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 10%.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Python & AWS /Azure Development
  • Maintain and enhance existing Python scripts hosted in AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, or ECS) or Azure equivalent experience .
  • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of current automation processes.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring best practices.

Systems Integration
  • Build and maintain integrations between business platforms (CRM, ERP, project management systems) using APIs, SDKs, and modern integration frameworks.
  • Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows for data exchange between systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that integrations align with business workflows.

Business Logic & Automation
  • Incorporate business rules and conditional workflows into automated processes.
  • Work with business teams to define requirements and translate them into code.
  • Ensure that developed solutions improve data accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.

Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Work closely with IT, analytics, and business operations teams to identify opportunities for automation and system improvements.
  • Follow software development best practices, including version control, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend ways to improve tools and processes.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (internships or co-op considered for entry-level).
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch) or Azure equivalent .
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
  • Understanding of software development best practices (Git, testing, CI/CD concepts).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with modern frameworks or tools for integration (e.g., FastAPI , Flask, Django, AWS Step Functions, Apache Airflow) .
  • Knowledge of ETL tools or middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft , Boomi, Make.com, Zapier).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks or low-code platforms for rapid interface development.
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL).
  • Understanding of business workflows in construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
