The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of a school/employment or any other visa, regardless of expiration date, now or in the future.

Our company designs and manufactures turf maintenance equipment; turf irrigation systems; landscape and lighting products; snow and ice management solutions; agricultural irrigation systems; rental, specialty and underground construction equipment; and residential turf and snow equipment. What Will You Do?

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be working on one or more projects that work directly with our Commercial Products software engineering team. You will have a mentor to help guide your project and help you find the resources you need. The project(s) vary but are often related to:

  • Working directly with our project teams to develop and test our products

  • Building/Supporting in-house tools for the development team

  • Data analysis of collected field data

What Do You Need?

We require interns to be enrolled in an educational program during the duration of the internship program.

  • Majoring in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science - focusing on embedded systems. We prefer you to have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

  • At a minimum, you must be entering your sophomore year of college.

  • Programming Experience in C or C# preferred. Python, C++, Visual C programming, JSON, and experience with CAN bus protocol are all beneficial.

  • Our best interns have strong communication skills, solve challenging problems, and a positive attitude.
