Job description

Position Summary

The Demand and Supply Planning Analyst supports manufacturing planning activities by maintaining planning data, preparing demand and supply analyses, and assisting with production and inventory planning. Your role will foster cross-functional alignment, provide data-driven insights, and mitigate risks to optimize inventory, service levels, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning Support (Manufacturing-Focused)

  • Assist in maintaining demand forecasts at SKU and family levels using historical data, market trends and stakeholder inputs
  • Collaborate with teams to include promotions, product launches, and seasonality in plans
  • Prepare demand updates for weekly and monthly planning cycles
  • Support review of forecast accuracy, bias, and consumption against actual production and shipments
  • Help identify demand variability, seasonality, and abnormal demand signals

Supply & Production Planning Support

  • Assist with converting demand forecasts into supply requirements
  • Support preparation of production plans considering:
    • Machine and labor capacity
    • Material availability and lead times
  • Partner with procurement and manufacturing to ensure supply chain continuity
  • Monitor production plan adherence and escalate variances (missed builds, shortages, downtime)

Inventory & Materials Planning Support

  • Monitor finished goods, WIP, and raw material inventory levels
  • Assist with safety stock and reorder point maintenance based on planning guidelines
  • Identify potential risks for shortages, excess, or obsolescence
  • Support cycle count review and root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies

S&OP / Planning Rhythm Support

  • Prepare standard reports for Demand Review, Supply Review, and S&OP meetings
  • Track key gaps related to capacity, materials, and service performance
  • Support basic scenario analysis under guidance from leadership
  • Document planning assumptions and follow up on assigned actions

Data, Systems & Process Support

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning stability, inventory accuracy, and plan adherence
  • Skilled in leveraging Python for data analysis, automation, and predictive modeling
  • Learn and apply best practices in manufacturing planning and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships, co‑ops, or plant experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, operational manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from cross‑functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing, production planning, or materials management
  • Exposure to ERP/MRP systems EBS/Oracle and Splash BI prefered
  • Introductory knowledge of:
    • MRP / MPS concepts
    • Inventory control and lead times
    • Capacity planning

The base salary anticipated is $75k-$95k per year for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, actual compensation may vary and will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. Isolatek International reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on company and personal performance.
