Job description

Overview
Navy Federal Credit Union currently does not provide sponsorship for this role. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
Support Fraud Operations' workforce decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via dashboards and reports. Analyze workload, capacity, and staffing challenges using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources. Can lead discussions with operational leaders to evaluate and determine business needs and objectives to make recommendations that enable data driven decision. Demonstrate advanced skill and proficiency with analytical procedures and workforce forecasting techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data sets, to drive insights into business performance
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations to support staffing decisions
  • Produce and manage actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
  • Use data and analytics to improve processes and provide forecasts of potential costs, risks, and value of new business initiatives
  • Communicate findings and insight to leaders and stakeholders and provide business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests within the business area
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • Build working relationships with team members and earn the trust and support of operational leaders
  • Lead small projects and initiatives

Qualifications
  • Advanced workforce management expertise, including forecasting, capacity modeling, and long-range staffing projections within complex operational environments
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated experience applying statistical methods, forecasting models, and trend analysis to drive business decisions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI or similar tools
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering data-driven insights to senior leadership
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization
  • Advanced skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM and/or database software vendors
  • Advanced skill in complex data manipulation across multiple tables
  • Effective data integration, normalization, and validation skills
  • Skill communicating data analysis and visualizations to nontechnical and senior audiences
  • Intermediate skill in utilizing work products to tell a story through appropriate balance of visualizations, design aesthetics, and words

  • Background in fraud operations, financial services, or similarly complex, high-variability operational environments
