Job description

Job Summary:
We're looking for a Construction Administration Drafter to support our Construction Administration team during the construction phase of projects.
This role works closely with Construction Administration Project Managers, Project Architects, and project teams to prepare and revise drawings, document field conditions, and support coordination efforts throughout construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical drawing, problem-solving, and learning how buildings are assembled in the field. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in Revit and construction documents.

CA Senior Project Manager or CA Project Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and revise construction drawings based on field observations, RFIs, ASIs, architect's supplemental instructions, and team markups.
  • Create and maintain Revit models and construction document sets throughout the construction phase.
  • Assist with documenting existing conditions and incorporating field information into project drawings.
  • Support preparation of sketch details, clarification drawings, and supplemental construction documents.
  • Coordinate drawing revisions with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Maintain drawing logs, document revisions, and project records.
  • Assist with review and coordination of shop drawings and submittals.
  • Support quality control efforts by verifying drawing consistency and accuracy.
  • Participate in site visits when needed to document construction progress and field conditions.
  • Assist with preparation of record drawings and project closeout documentation.
  • Support the CA team with various project-related drafting and documentation needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong technical drafting and document organization skills.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and building systems.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to interpret redlines, markups, and drawing revisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu preferred.
  • Willingness to learn construction administration processes and field coordination.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in architecture, drafting, construction administration, or a related field.
  • Internship experience considered relevant experience.
  • Experience using Revit required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
  • Ability to traverse construction sites for observation and documentation purposes.
