Job Summary:
The Design Assistant assists the Design team in interpreting brand concepts to design and develop compelling Merchandise that delivers the value, quality and aesthetic that supports the At Home vision. Reports to Design Director as a team member of the Brand Concept and Design Team.
WORK LOCATION DETAILS
Work Location: Home Office - Coppell, TX
Work Schedule: Hybrid
  • Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Work from Home: Mondays and Fridays

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assists Design Managers, Associate Managers and Director with product directives
  • Partner with Brand Concept Team to understand and execute Concept vision, including color, silhouette, materiality, print & pattern each season
  • Assists team in scheduling meetings, note taking and meeting follow up activities
  • Identify product opportunities informed by Concept Team, market research and consumer insight
  • Assist Associate Design Manager with maintaining libraries, templates, folders and other best practices for the team
  • Cultivate category and industry expertise

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of relevant Product Design, Product Development, or Trend experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator) highly desirable
  • Excellent eye for color, pattern, design details and craftsmanship
  • Presentation skills - including verbal, written and creative visuals
  • Ability to develop/maintain strong working relationship with peers and team
  • Quick learner - able to retain new information, programs, and processes
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities

Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
