MMGY Global has an immediate opening for an Associate Art Director in our Kansas City office and we're looking for someone who's ready to go places. You'll work on campaigns for some of the world's most exciting travel brands, which means conceptual thinking and a fresh perspective on the world aren't just welcomed - they're essential.

Duties & Responsibilities 
 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the travel industry and strive to become a subject-matter expert 
  • Lead with ideas first, using design execution to bring those concepts to life and help sell the team's creative vision 
  • Drive projects from concept through completion across multiple mediums, including digital, video, out-of-home (OOH), print, and social 
  • Prepare and present client-ready work to the Senior Art Director and Creative Director, clearly communicating design decisions and strategic rationale 
  • Participate in and contribute to regular client-facing presentations 
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Art Directors and Copywriters, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and development support 
  • Foster an energetic, inclusive, and team-centered work environment 
  • Stay current on design, advertising, campaign, and social media trends 
  • Partner with cross-functional agency teams to ensure client goals and brand standards are consistently met 
  • Demonstrate a self-starter mentality by proactively identifying and pursuing creative opportunities 
  • Occasional out-of-town travel required 
 
Qualifications 
 
  • We welcome candidates who have built their creative experience through school, internships, freelance opportunities, personal projects, or other hands-on creative work. 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is appreciated but not required. 
  • Proficiency in design principles, conceptual ideation, and typography 
  • Working knowledge of media channel deliverables and the ability to produce assets to vendor specifications 
  • Strong time management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills 
  • A genuine passion for travel is highly celebrated and considered a plus 
  • Bonus: Familiarity with photography, video editing, and/or motion graphics is a plus - candidates who bring these skills to the table will stand out
