POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting the destination as a premier venue for sports, events, conferences, and special activities through strategic marketing and advertising efforts. This role supports revenue growth and brand visibility by partnering with facility staff, vendors, and the corporate marketing team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Crafting the marketing plan in partnership with the General Manger and Marketing team
  • Executing the marketing plan and strategic initiatives
  • Managing and updating company website(s)
  • Content development for digital or print
  • Press release writing and media relations activities
  • Managing social media business accounts including regular posting and management of content calendar
  • Participating and assisting the planning and implementation of events, tournaments, and rentals
  • Assisting in maintaining an event calendar of rental/tournaments booked, as well as, listing all facility activities planned
  • Managing facility presence with industry publications, trade shows, and associations
  • Preparing and presenting regular reporting on marketing strategy and results
  • All other duties assigned by management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
  • Proven success in consumer marketing, branding, and destination-specific campaign execution
  • Experience in youth and amateur sports marketing or related industries
  • Experience using a CRM to manage and nurture prospective and current customers
  • Experience in sponsorship sales, activation, and partnership development
  • Experience promoting, booking, and delivering special events
  • Experience using market research and consumer insights to support sponsorship, partnership, and business development efforts
  • Experience managing corporate websites in WordPress
  • Action-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and efficiency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, or a related field; or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience measuring and reporting marketing and advertising campaign performance, including ROI, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Ability to develop content and write in alignment with company voice
  • Experience writing press releases and managing media relationships
  • Experience managing business accounts across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Hootsuite and Meta Business Suite
  • Ability to identify and create promotional opportunities that support revenue goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent loud noise level
