How you'll make an impact:

The Subscriber Management System (SMS) is SiriusXM's core Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) platform and system of record for customer accounts, subscription lifecycle management, pricing, taxation, payments, and revenue operations. SMS enables subscriber acquisition, OEM trial programs, recurring billing, renewals, and entitlement orchestration across SiriusXM's direct-to-consumer and partner ecosystems. As a Technical Program Manager within SMS Engineering, you will operate within a complex, revenue-critical domain where reliability, resiliency, and precision are paramount. You will partner with engineering teams responsible for customizing and evolving the BRM platform while coordinating closely with Product, Finance, Identity, Payments, Conditional Access, Supply Chain, and other integrated systems. This role requires navigating cross-team dependencies, aligning roadmap priorities across interconnected platforms, and ensuring high-quality delivery within a mission-critical system that directly impacts revenue recognition and subscriber experience.

What you'll do 

Demonstrate product knowledge, and facilitate the development of requirements in consideration of known technical capabilities, limitations, and interdependencies across entities. 

Drive execution and delivery of multiple high-profile product or software development projects from start to finish and/or managing the work of one to two midsize to large engineering teams. 

Contribute to developing a roadmap for the team and maintain it in line with the priorities defined by product. 

Assist teams in story writing, backlog maintenance, prioritization and planning. Facilitating creation and prioritization of project-level features and backlogs. 

Continuous evaluation of process and seeking for ways to improve at every iteration. 

Lead planning, refinement, and release ceremonies for the engineering team. 

Adapt to changing conditions and modify project execution plans as appropriate. 

Identify blockers and facilitate the removal of those impediments. 

Proactively highlight and resolve risks and issues and clearly communicate those risks to stakeholders. 

Inform stakeholders of day-to-day project statuses, updates, and risk. 

Cultivate relationships across engineering, product, and technical teams to drive progress forward, influence negotiations, and advocate for desired outcomes that best serve our teams.

What you'll need:

3+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Scrum Master, managing cross-functional projects. 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience. 

Demonstrate hands-on technical experience (development, QA, or similar) to complement strong program management and Agile leadership capabilities. 

Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, Agile methodologies, and release management processes. 

Experienced in Project Management Methodologies, Frameworks, and tooling. 

Experience coordinating work across multiple engineering teams and managing cross-team dependencies. 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate parties working collaboratively and efficiently. 

An innate problem solver with the ability to thrive under pressure. 

Experience in risk reporting, management and mitigation. 

Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini, etc. 

Preferred certifications: Scrum Master Certification (such as CSM or PSM) or PMP and any other relevant certifications. 

Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $117,000 to $145,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
