Job description

Plumber/Pipefitter Foreman – Industrial amp; Commercial Construction

Location: Marion, Ohio
Salary Range: $49,900 – $99,800 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Area Energy amp; Electric, Inc. is hiring a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter Foreman to lead mechanical and pipefitting teams on industrial and commercial construction projects. This full-time leadership role involves supervising crews, managing workflow, and ensuring high-quality installations and maintenance of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct teams of apprentices and journeymen on mechanical and pipefitting projects
  • Perform preventative maintenance on large commercial and industrial units
  • Operate and maintain motors up to 500hp, pumps, electric pumping units, and auxiliary equipment
  • Oversee wastewater treatment and pumping plant operations
  • Conduct physical and chemical testing for treatment plant control
  • Implement quality control procedures and respond to system malfunctions and emergencies

Required Qualifications

  • 4–10 years of plumbing or pipefitting experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform algebraic and geometric computations
  • Skilled in reading gauges, meters, and recording instruments
  • Knowledge of safety practices around high-voltage equipment and moving machinery

Employment Requirements

  • Must furnish and use a smartphone with internet access for daily timekeeping
  • Completion of OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company-funded)
