This role includes developing PCB designs for power electronic systems with a focus on EMC/EMI compliance, spanning applications from watts to kilowatts. Success in this position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly power electronics and mechanical engineering. Reporting to the CTO, this leader will have early hands-on experience to lead the growth of a startup in the wireless charging ecosystem across a wide range of future products that greatly impact people's lives.

Competitive compensation includes a base salary, healthcare benefits, and stock options in the company.

The primary responsibilities of the PCB Design Engineer are as follows:

  • Complete schematic as well as single and multilayer PCB designs for control and converter designs for high-frequency and high-power density applications.
  • Develop new symbols and footprints for custom parts.
  • Update Bill of Materials and testing plans for empirical verification.
  • Collaborate with other engineering team members on EMC/EMI compliance, thermal, manufacturing, and mechanical developments that improve PCB design and system robustness.
  • Routinely update the CTO on project status, project improvements, and other recommendations.
RequirementsQualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
  • 2+ years of full-time experience in PCB design with Altium Designer
  • Experience in board layout for high-density power electronics and analog circuit designs
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, make effective and timely decisions, solve problems, and facilitate organizational and procedural changes
  • Passion for creating a wireless world where the state of your battery is not a concern but a mere afterthought
Qualifications Preferred
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Prior experience in automotive, power tools, or aerospace industries
