Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be a key part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing complex and mission-critical systems. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, defining routing constraints, directing PCB/PWB layout and routing activities, and supporting the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meet their high expectations. In this role, you will primarily support the Airborne Systems business area developing mission computers, sensor processors, and stores management hardware, with opportunities to work across GDMS.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite, high-speed digital and high-density circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs, designs using fiber optic interfaces, and advanced working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers.
