This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Role Description

Software Engineers apply engineering concepts and principles to softwaredevelopment;for thepurposesof providing business solutions. They design, build, install, andmaintainthese applications/programs. Software Engineers use deductive reasoning to gather and interpret businessrequirements;supplied by product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineers.
In addition to theskillset, the Software Engineer bears the joint responsibility for code-basemaintenance. Often this involves making informed decisions about refactoring, tech debt, and "greenfield" engineering.

Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Data Modeling are desired, but by no meansrequired.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Exposure / Experience designing,buildingand debugging applications

  • Exposure /Experience with Secure SDLC Proficient with NodeJS + Express and/or Python + Flask

  • Exposure /Experience using Postgres, Athena/PrestoDB, or Amazon Redshift

  • Exposure /Experience withcloud environments to includeAmazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)or Microsoft Azure

  • Abasicunderstanding of security operations and risk

Qualifications

  • 6mos-2years of experience in a Software Engineering or Software Development role

  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, Mercurial, or Subversion)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn

  • Effective communicator and enthusiastic collaborator

  • Exposure tocommon enterprise programming languages such asJavaScript,Golang,Python,C++,Java,C#,F#, etc.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work40 hoursper week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Compensation

Base Pay: $32.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
