Job description

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated Emergency Triage Team, where you'll play a vital role in assessing incoming emergency patients and ensuring they receive the right level of care as quickly as possible.

Compensation:

Starting range is $22 - 30/hr and is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available. 

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, Overnight/3rd shift, 3 x 12 hour shifts.

What You'll Do

As a Triage Veterinary Technician, you'll be the first clinical point of contact for pets arriving in our Emergency Department. Every shift is different. You'll use your technical expertise, critical thinking, and compassion to rapidly assess patients, prioritize care, and work alongside our emergency veterinarians to ensure every pet receives timely treatment.

Whether you're evaluating a patient in respiratory

distress, placing an IV catheter on a critical case, or helping reassure an anxious pet owner, your skills will directly impact patient outcomes.

Qualifications: 

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT) or internship trained.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and often high-stress environment
