This role involves working under the supervision of experienced orthopedic providers to gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions. Internship Ortho NPs learn to assist with orthopedic procedures, perform patient assessments, and provide patient education. The position is typically a temporary training role designed to prepare nurse practitioners for independent practice in orthopedics.
