In this leadership role, you'll oversee daily accounting operations, mentor accounting staff, and work closely with our Chief Financial Officer to ensure the financial integrity of an organization that provides critical technology services to law enforcement, public safety, and government agencies throughout the region.

What You'll Do

As our Accounting Supervisor, you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by:

  • Leading and developing a team of accounting professionals and interns
  • Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, and internal control standards
  • Overseeing Oracle NetSuite accounting processes and workflow approvals
  • Assisting with financial reporting, annual audits, and budget analysis
  • Partnering with the CFO to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Supporting grant accounting, financial compliance, and organizational initiatives


This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work across departments to provide financial guidance and help drive operational excellence.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least two years of supervisory or senior accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (GASB experience is highly preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another cloud-based ERP system
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • A commitment to accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
  • Experience in governmental or nonprofit accounting is highly desirable


Minimum salary starts at $75,623.44 per year with the possibility of additional compensation based on years of experience, demonstrated skills, certifications, and education.
