The Portland Civil + Survey office (including Eugene and Washington DC staff) consists of 106 employees including 41 PEs and 3 PLSs. Our Eugene office includes 19 employees. We are proud to share that 28% of our staff are former interns. Our core Civil practice focuses on site development, public utility and roadway infrastructure, parks and trails, and innovative stormwater management. Our Survey team focuses on boundary staking, topo surveying, construction layout, drone missions, and building inspections. We work on many different and exciting design projects including education and healthcare facilities, national parks, cultural centers, zoos and museums, as well as government and international facilities. Job Description

We are seeking one student for a summer internship with our Survey Group in Portland, available from May to August or June to September, depending on the student's school schedule. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to be challenged and dive right into real projects from day one. You'll have the chance to work alongside a field crew and assist our Survey Office Technicians with CAD tasks, gaining hands-on experience while learning from a talented team of professionals.

Qualifications

Minimum age = 16 years

Available to work full-time (40 hours per week; Monday-Friday)

Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Able to lift to 70 lbs.

Able to stand or walk for several hours (may occasionally encounter challenging terrain)
