POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Roustabout will report to the Construction Director and will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting the well plugging and abandonment team in their operations throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The Roustabout will work with equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and high-pressure power washing equipment.
Special focus will be placed on:
  • Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulations.
  • Move pipes to and from trucks, using truck winches and motorized lifts, or by hand.
  • Install and make repairs to oil and produced water tanks, including confined space entry.
  • Install and repair piping, valves, pumps, and motors; haul pipe and rods.
  • Assemble, dismantle and repair oil field machinery, boilers, and steam engine parts, using hand tools and power tool.
  • Supply equipment to rig floors as requested and provide assistance to roughnecks.
  • Set well equipment at well locations which include cement pads and pumping units.
  • Responsible for tie-down of pumping units and installing counterweights for balancing pumping units.
  • General site location maintenance of ground and buildings in addition to performing general cleanup duties on well site locations and/or at the facility.
  • Assist with clean-up of oil spills.
  • Operate backhoes, skid steers, and high-pressure power washing equipment.
  • Walk flow lines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and by making visual inspections, and repair the leaks.
  • Perform flow testing/flow back duties.
  • Prioritize safety at all times. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment. Report any safety issues or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain open communication to coordinate transportation needs and schedules.
  • Collaborate with rig employees and other personnel to ensure efficient and smooth project operations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork such as trip logs, inspections reports, and delivery receipts accurately and promptly.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license.
  • CDL a plus.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness and ability to work in various weather and well site conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Willingness to travel to remote well sites and stay away from home when necessary.
  • Experience working as a laborer, including proficiency with all types of tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
  • Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
  • Lifts or carries 60 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline
