We are seeking a highly motivated Risk Management Intern to join our RM Team. This internship provides hands-on experience in commodity markets, focusing on grain, livestock, and related products. The intern will assist with market research, trade execution support, and risk management activities, while gaining valuable exposure to how commodities are bought, sold, and hedged in the agriculture industry. 

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor agricultural commodity markets, including futures, cash prices, and basis levels.
  • Assist traders with data entry, order tracking, and trade reconciliation.
  • Conduct research on supply/demand factors, USDA reports, weather patterns, and global trade flows.
  • Support the preparation of daily position, risk exposure, and profit/loss reports.
  • Help evaluate hedging strategies using futures, options, and other risk management tools.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and market summaries for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate trade settlements.
  • Maintain organized records of trades, contracts, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in agricultural markets, commodities trading, and risk management.
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
