Job description

We have Supervisor positions available at Angell Boston on Day Shift and Overnight Shift. 

Angell Animal Medical Center of Boston looking for full time experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisors to join our renowned, state of the art Emergency and Critical Care departments.  There is an opening on our day and overnight team.  There is a  $10,000 sign on bonus for Certified Veterinary Technicians hired for this position!

Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory or leadership experience and experience working in emergency veterinary medicine. We are looking for applicants who want to increase their knowledge and skills to grow professionally, who thrive in a fast paced and challenging environment, and love teaching in a positive, patient and dynamic manner.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching and performance evaluation process for all ECC Service Staff.

• Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records for Inpatient Service Staff.

• Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train member of the ECC team.

• Assist clinicians in triaging, stabilizing, and providing high quality nursing care to patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.

Along with working at the most prestigious veterinary teaching hospitals in the country, we have a very strong, competitive salary - which is commensurate with education and experience. Our compensation package includes Blue Cross health insurance, dental and life insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, uniforms, paid holidays, sick and vacation time, employee discounts for pet health care, pet food, and free onsite parking.

Compensation:

Starting at $36-$41 hourly, VTS starting at $43/hr.

Angell Boston, founded in 1915, is recognized internationally as a leader in animal medicine and has the reputation as one of the finest veterinary teaching hospitals in North America. Angell serves the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center. Inpatient Department is the hub of this busy non-profit hospital. 

MSPCA-Angell West, a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite hospital in the west suburbs of Boston, was opened in early 2014 by Angell Animal Medical Center. We are an AHAA Accredited Referral Practice. Our hospital is over 20,000 square feet, is recently renovated, and is located 10 miles west of Boston in Waltham.
