About the Role
Location: Beaverton, OR
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN/WiFi, datacenters, and cloud connectivity. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead network initiatives from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
  • Manage and optimize routing and switching environments (SDWAN,SDA,BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
  • Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
  • Lead network upgrades, migrations, and major infrastructure projects.
  • Support and troubleshoot network performance issues and outages (root cause analysis).
  • Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds / ThousandEyes (or similar).
  • Maintain network documentation: diagrams, IP schema, standards, and runbooks.
  • Work with service providers for circuit turn-ups, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours maintenance activities.

Cloud Networking (AWS / Azure)
  • Design and support cloud network architecture including:
    • AWS VPC / Transit Gateway / Route Tables / NACLs / Security Groups
    • Azure VNet / VNet Peering / UDR / NSGs / Cloud Firewall
  • Implement secure hybrid connectivity:
    • IPsec site-to-site VPN
    • AWS Direct Connect / Azure ExpressRoute
  • Implement cloud segmentation and secure routing patterns for CUI environments.
  • Support cloud security integrations:
    • Centralized logging/monitoring
    • Network traffic visibility and alerting
  • Partner with cloud engineering teams to ensure compliant connectivity for workloads handling CUI

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Routing and switching (Cisco)
    • TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, InfoBlox
    • WAN technologies (DMVPN, SD-WAN, DIA, broadband)
    • Wireless networking (Cisco/Meraki)
  • Experience with:
    • Firewalls (Palo Alto / Cisco ASA/FTD)
    • VPN (site-to-site, remote access)
    • Network segmentation and security best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using packet capture tools (Wireshark/tcpdump).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SD-WAN (Viptela, etc.)
  • Cloud networking experience: AWS / Azure / OCI
    • VPC/VNet design, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute
  • Automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform, API-based networking).
  • Experience with NAC solutions (Cisco ISE, ClearPass).
  • Knowledge of compliance/security frameworks (NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001).
  • Certifications preferred:
    • CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise/Security)
    • PCNSE / NSE

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 104300.00-193700.00
