Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineer Intern, you will:

  • Follow our Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with all projects.
  • Engage in the development and engineering of disposable medical devices from concept to production.
  • Participate in hands-on product and process development, including the design and prototyping of catheters and other disposable products.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design devices and construct prototypes in our state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate on designing catheter-based delivery systems for various medical disciplines, including cardiology, neurology, and urology.
  • Support the acquisition, setup, and qualification of new equipment, contributing to the creation of preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers about project status, timelines, and any issues that arise.
  • Prepare and assist in product development and quality planning, including project schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Participate in feasibility and reliability testing plans for catheter systems, developing and validating in-vitro and in-vivo models.
  • Assist in the development of pilot and manufacturing equipment and procedures, supporting the transition of projects to full-scale production.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with disposable design and development, materials knowledge, and prototyping is a plus.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CAD programs.
