The Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative Specialist I

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist I are the following:
Serve as administrative support for Georgia State Bands
Maintain student records in Band administrative database
Maintain equipment / asset inventory for concert and athletic ensembles
Coordinate concert and athletic inventory with GSU Insurance and Risk Management
• Coordinate the rental and collection process for concert and athletic ensembles
• Coordinate necessary instrument repairs and maintenance with vendors
• Assist the Director of Band Operations with coordinator of major recruitment events i.e.: Southeastern Regional Concert Festival, Summer Leadership Institute, Atlanta Summer Conducting Institute
• Maintain student records in Band administrative database
• Maintain Bands calendar in Band Event database, as well as compiling Bands Performance Schedule
• Management of Band Window communications and outreach
• Under the direction of the Director of Band Operations, process payment requisitions and purchase orders for various Bands accounts
• Manage the social media presence for the concert and athletic ensemble accounts
• Prepare content calendars, solicit, and create content and media for online and/or print materials, as well as for community outreach and recruitment
• Maintain concert and athletic ensemble web pages, as well as related event-specific pages
• Maintain equipment / asset inventory for guard program

Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's and one year of admin experience or a high school diploma or GED and five years of Admin experience or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Knowledge of the various Georgia State Bands administrative programs including Airtable, Excel, and Canva.
• Ability and commitment to work with diverse individuals
• Knowledge of the Georgia State University (GSU) campus and university procedures and policies is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to work with supervision and independently is required.
Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.
