Electric Power Engineers, Inc. (EPE) works with clients on a global scale designing solutions for renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage), Generation Interconnection, Transmission Planning, Distribution Planning, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), and Smart Grids.

How you can make an impact:

The Power Systems Engineer Intern will perform projects/tasks such as network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies as well as contribute to process improvement efforts, including development of Python scripts. This position will report to an experienced manager and be exposed to exciting projects building valuable industry knowledge. Through this opportunity, the intern will gain experience with the Texas and Eastern Interconnection power systems.

This position will be assigned to a business unit and work closely with a mentor to learn the day to day activities of a power systems engineer. To learn more about the different teams and requirements, please see our website. 


Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, a bachelor’s degree program with a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, power systems fundamentals class(es) (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Location: This position will be a remote position. Expected to Start in the Fall semester
