What is an internship at Meta Health?

An Internship at Meta Health is a temporary, structured work experience designed for students or recent graduates interested in exploring careers in healthcare technology at Meta, formerly known as Facebook. Interns typically work on real-world projects alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in areas like health data analysis, product development, or user research. The program offers mentorship, networking opportunities, and the chance to contribute to Meta's mission of advancing digital health initiatives. Internships usually last for a few months and may be offered during summer or throughout the year, depending on project needs.

What types of projects can interns expect to work on during a Meta Health internship?

As a Meta Health intern, you can expect to work on projects that directly support the development and optimization of health-related technologies and products. Interns often collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineers, researchers, and product managers—to contribute to data analysis, user research, or the design and testing of new features. These projects are designed to offer hands-on experience with real-world challenges, providing valuable insight into both the health tech industry and Meta’s innovative approach. This collaborative environment encourages learning and can help lay the groundwork for future roles within Meta.

To thrive as an intern at Meta Health, you generally need a background in health sciences, computer science, or a related field, supported by strong analytical and research skills. Familiarity with data analysis tools, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and programming languages like Python or R is often required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork are crucial soft skills to stand out in this collaborative and innovative environment. These skills are important as they enable interns to contribute effectively to impactful digital health projects and integrate well within multidisciplinary teams.
