Job description

Kirwan Surgical Products LLC, located in Marshfield MA, is a medical device manufacturer dedicated to creating and developing superior products for demanding microsurgical specialties such as neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and orthopedic surgery.

We are currently seeking a candidate with prior medical device or related experience to join our team as a Clean Room/Packaging Inspector.ย  As a medical device manufacturer, our Packing Inspectors are responsible for inspecting, labeling and packaging sterile product.

Starting pay based on experience.ย  Schedule is Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm.ย ย 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to perform tasks as assigned while maintaining compliance with existing procedures and Quality Management System Standards.ย ย 

  • Conduct in process visual inspections during packaging process
  • Identify Quality defects and report problems to supervisor
  • Packaging takes place in a Clean Room environment

Must be able to operate packaging tools safely and correctly.ย  Training is provided.ย 

  • Operate a Doboy rotary band sealer (heat sealer) safely and effectively.
  • Operate Multimeters i.e. safely and effectively, Micronta or Fluke.
  • Operate Burst tester safely and effectively.
  • Operate Air knife equipment safely and effectively.
  • Effectively operate Scale/Ruler, (English and Metric).
  • Label, load and seal Tyvek pouch.
  • Inspect, package and seal all disposable product.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a quality control or packaging preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • May need to sit or stand throughout shift
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time. Occasional need to lift 50+ pounds.
