AERMOR is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Analyst to support Navy operational test and evaluation efforts. In this role, you will apply statistical analysis and Modeling & Simulation (M&S) methodologies to help assess system performance, support test planning, and contribute to mission-focused decision-making. You will work alongside government and contractor teams to develop test strategies, evaluate simulation data, and support Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) activities for Navy programs.
This position is based in Norfolk, VA and requires on-site support.
Responsibilities:
  • Support Mission Based Test Design (MBTD) activities, including mission and requirements analysis.
  • Analyze operational and simulation data to assess system performance and support test objectives.
  • Support the development and evaluation of statistical test designs.
  • Perform statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, regression modeling, and other analytical techniques.
  • Support Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) efforts for Modeling & Simulation tools and systems.
  • Review V&V plans and reports to determine whether simulation data is sufficient to support accreditation decisions.
  • Develop M&S Accreditation Plans and supporting documentation.
  • Identify critical measures, response variables, and operational conditions that support testing objectives.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to support test planning and execution.
  • Prepare technical reports, analyses, and briefings for program stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis methods to testing, experimentation, system evaluation, or operational analysis efforts.
  • Experience performing statistical analyses using techniques such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, or predictive modeling.
  • Experience using one or more statistical analysis tools such as JMP, R, MATLAB, SAS, or Design-Expert.
  • Experience supporting Modeling & Simulation Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing or supporting Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) test and evaluation programs, including Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), or Contractor Test (CT) activities.
  • Familiarity with Navy acquisition processes and operational testing organizations.
  • Knowledge of Mission Based Test Design (MBTD) methodologies.
  • Experience with Navy operations, tactical systems, or military mission analysis.
  • Experience developing automated data analysis scripts, workflows, or database-driven reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques such as mixed models, penalized regression, logistic regression, recursive partitioning, or machine learning approaches.

Compensation:
Compensation for this position is based on several considerations, including applicable contract wage rates and labor categories, geographic location, relevant professional experience, technical expertise, education, certifications, and overall alignment with the role's requirements.
AERMOR is committed to providing competitive pay along with a benefits package designed to support employees throughout their careers. Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
Salary Range: $95,000-$130,000/yr
