Job description

Overview
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking candidates for the position of postdoctoral fellow in engineering. Postdoctoral positions become available periodically under a variety of research grants and projects in the college. We are seeking applications from individuals with a PhD in any one area of engineering such as: aerospace, chemical, civil and environmental, computer science and software, electrical and computer, industrial and systems, and mechanical engineering at the time employment begins. Also of interest are related fields of microelectronics, automotive electronics, microfibers, highway research, materials, asphalt technology, pulp and paper, chemistry, transportation, detection and food safety and information technology. The positions are available for a minimum of one year as full-time 12-month appointments based on need, performance and funding, with renewal possible for a maximum of four years. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Review of applications will begin after March 20, 2026 and continue throughout the year as positions become available.
Responsibilities
Contribute to research and or teaching. Will be determined based on the need of the position.
Qualifications
The selected candidates for these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment, and be able to communicate effectively in English.
PhD in area of expertise is required at the time employment begins.
