Memorial Health System offers internship opportunities for college students seeking experiential learning that bridges classroom knowledge with real-world professional experience. Interns gain valuable exposure to healthcare operations while developing practical skills, professional competencies, and industry insight within a healthcare setting.
Due to Memorial Health System's not-for-profit status, internships are unpaid. However, students receive meaningful hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that support the organization's mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve.
Internship placements are based on organizational needs and student areas of study.
Internship opportunities may be available in various departments including, but not limited to:

Essential Functions:
  1. Assist department staff with projects, research, and administrative tasks related to departmental operations.
  2. Participate in experiential learning opportunities that apply academic knowledge to real-world healthcare environments.
  3. Support data collection, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  4. Observe and learn departmental workflows, policies, and professional practices.
