Summary

Drive operational excellence and ensure the reliability of the technology systems that support manufacturing and distribution operations. As a Manufacturing Systems Analyst, you will provide day-to-day support for inventory control, warehouse management, product labeling, and other critical plant systems that enable efficient processing and supply chain performance. You will partner closely with plant teams and IT support functions to troubleshoot issues, manage system changes, and maintain effective documentation and controls. This role is ideal for a collaborative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to support operational success.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $116,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for all information and manufacturing system operations activities (multi-shift), including computer and network operations, troubleshooting, data control and security, documentation, software version control, change control, backup and recovery, and system performance.
  • Demonstrate skills necessary to support supply chain applications, process control, scaling and labeling, desktop computing, and network systems.
  • Understand hardware, software, and applications from a user perspective to ensure proper problem resolution.
  • Monitor system performance and perform system checks.
  • Enforce procedures established for system use.
  • Enforce Corporate Manufacturing Systems administrator standards, LAN administration, change management, asset management, technical standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Audit and report facility non-compliance and remediation plans.
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve reported computer system problems.
  • Monitor and respond to technical hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with implementing hardware, software, and application changes and additions.
  • Ensure users operate systems properly to maintain data integrity, security, and recoverability.
  • Support Corporate Manufacturing Systems in project management, network support, and application support.
  • Participate in Manufacturing Systems problem reporting, project planning, and corporate communication sessions.
  • Code, test, configure, and document programs and systems from detailed specifications using systems development methodology and structured programming practices.
  • Support Team Management and Quality Improvement processes through demonstrated commitment to concepts and tools such as team building, zero defects, measurement, goal setting, and process models.
  • Work as a team member in the development, enhancement, and support of applications that meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Maintain technical proficiency by training and applying current techniques in developing and maintaining systems.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Technology, or Business Management plus 2-5 years of related work experience.
  • In the absence of an Associate's degree, require a minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
  • Require experience or education in: Microprocessor-based equipment, Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, Voice and data systems, Network Administration (Microsoft), Database Administration.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Require occasional movement to other offices or buildings and support in facilities during site deployment.
  • Require movement throughout plants and facilities to deploy, monitor, and support manufacturing systems equipment.
  • Require moving light equipment or supplies.
  • Require accessing files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform work in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  • Exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28F to 100F, including ambient and 100% humidity conditions.
  • Handle products with temperatures ranging from 25F to 50F.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
  • Exposure to chemicals commonly found in poultry, food, and processing plants.
