We are now hiring for Fall (Oct-Dec 2026) & Winter (Jan-Mar 2027) 


 Cascade PBS's mission is to inform and inspire our community to make the world a better place.  Our vision is to be the most essential and relevant media organization in the region. 


 We are excited to offer a Creative Services Team Internship for FY27. This 3-month internship requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week. Interns will receive a $2,250 stipend for the internship, paid in monthly installments of $750 to help offset internship related expenses.  


Hours: 15-20 hours/week

Location: Seattle WA - Onsite

Stipend: $750 per month

Requirements

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

 Under the supervision of the Promotion Team, the intern will:   

  • Conduct research to support promotional campaign development.    
  • Assist producers in the studio and on location during video shoots.  o Source music and sound effects from approved media libraries for promotional content.    
  • Observe edit sessions and assist with ingesting, organizing, and logging media assets.    
  • Generate media IDs and support metadata tagging within the Media Asset Management (MAM) system (DARLa).    
  • Help producers organize, maintain, and curate video assets across MAM platforms.    
  • Complete a portfolio-worthy project aligned with the Promotion Team's work, with the topic determined jointly by the intern and supervisor. 

This internship offers hands-on experience in developing and producing promotional video campaigns for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms. Interns will work alongside experienced producers, gaining practical skills and industry insight while contributing to real-world marketing and promotional projects. Interns will have an opportunity to:  

Shadow and learn from experienced producers and promotions staff.  

Gain hands-on experience supporting on-air, digital, and social media campaigns.  

Learn the fundamentals of program promotion, membership campaigns, underwriting, and station branding.  

Pitch and produce at least one promotional video or campaign concept for potential distribution across station platforms.  

Receive ongoing mentorship and real-time feedback throughout the internship.  


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Students should have a strong interest in marketing, storytelling, and video production. This internship is ideal for those pursuing degrees in Communications, Marketing, Film & Video Production, Multimedia, or a related field.  


INTERNSHIP STUDENTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING:  

Current enrollment in a course of study at an institution of higher learning that leads to a degree; certificate or diploma programs are not eligible  

Possess a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be able to provide an official transcript at hire. First-year students must provide proof of enrollment if no transcript is available.  

Able to commit to 15-20 hours per week  

Receiving school credit for the internship is strongly preferred  


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Must have a valid driver's license or reliable means of transportation to meet requirements of the job  

Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time  

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods  

Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
