Description
The College of Business at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a fulltime, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Finance beginning Fall 2027

The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses, with possible courses including:

Candidates must possess a strong research agenda aimed at publishing in ranked academic journals.
We seek candidates who are ready to be active members of a forward-thinking academic community and who have the following qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is completed by the start date)
  • Strong teaching skills with a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment for diverse students, including first-generation college students
  • Experience or willingness to integrate new technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, or blockchain in finance
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools, including programming languages (Python, R), financial modeling software, or other data analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with the Jesuit educational model and a demonstrated ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation students

The Joseph A.
