Job description

The Compliance Program Analyst Intern's learning journey demonstrates how AI can be safely and effectively applied to compliance processes by assisting with an AI Innovation Project. This role will work in a fast-paced environment and will finish the internship experience having gained broad experience in various aspects of Compliance and AI while making an impact within the organization..
What you will do here:
Supports the planning and execution of the AI innovation project by participating in requirements gathering, research and analysis
Assists with data analysis to identify trends, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities
Assists with targeted monitoring, testing, risk assessment, issue management, or regulatory research activities
Collaborate on a business-ready recommendation, including the proposed use case, expected value, implementation considerations, risks, controls, and success measures
Coordinating with Compliance team members and business partners to understand current practices in order to aid recommendations
Presents various findings and recommendations to Compliance leadership
Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Legal Studies, or a related field at Arizona State University or Northern Arizona University required.
1+ years exposure to data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python preferred.
Interest in financial services, compliance, risk management, or auditing preferred.
Strong analytical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism required.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through required.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
Interest in AI, machine learning, automation, data analytics, or process improvement preferred.
Basic understanding of banking, credit union operations, or regulated business processes preferred.
