We have an Urgent requirement for a Network Administrator at Chicago, IL Long-Term Contract.

Role: Network Administrator

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a Network Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support our organization's computer networks. The ideal candidate will ensure network performance, security, and availability while providing technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Configure and manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and firmware updates.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and network access.
  • Ensure network security through firewall management, antivirus, and security policies.
  • Monitor network availability and resolve outages promptly.
  • Maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
  • Perform regular data backup and disaster recovery support.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware and internet services.
  • Provide technical support to end users for network-related issues.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN).
  • Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
