This role is a senior hands-on technical leadership position responsible for driving technical depth, architectural quality, technology direction, and engineering excellence across the organization. The architect will operate horizontally across multiple architecture and engineering domains, helping shape technologies, architectures, technical decisions, engineering mechanisms, and future infrastructure direction across the company.

The role requires a highly experienced systems technologist with deep expertise in networking, Linux systems, low-level software, and distributed infrastructure, combined with broad architectural understanding spanning hardware, software, rack infrastructure, datacenter systems, and operational scaling.

This individual will serve as a senior technical authority and trusted architectural leader across the CTO organization, helping drive technical quality, evaluate architectures, strengthen specifications, guide engineering teams, and accelerate development of next-generation datacenter infrastructure platforms and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Drive technical architecture development across multiple CTO Architecture functions including:

  • platform architecture
  • systems architecture
  • storage architecture
  • solutions architecture
  • rack/POD/datacenter power architecture
  • platform power and cooling
  • PnP and performance optimization
  • firmware/software manageability and telemetry
  • board architecture and BOM optimization
  • SI/PI architecture
  • engineering automation and AI-assisted tooling
  • ecosystem technology strategy

Provide deep architectural guidance across infrastructure hardware, software, networking, storage, and operational systems.

Drive development of technically rigorous system specifications, architecture definitions, design reviews, and engineering standards.

Evaluate and guide architectural tradeoffs across:

  • performance
  • power
  • cooling
  • scalability
  • manufacturability
  • serviceability
  • deployment efficiency
  • operational reliability

Partner with architecture and engineering teams to shape future compute, server, storage, networking, and rack-scale infrastructure platforms.

Help drive architecture consistency and technical quality across platforms, systems, and customer solutions.

Provide technical leadership for complex customer and ecosystem engagements.

Mentor architects and senior engineers across multiple technical disciplines.

Guide technical direction for infrastructure software, telemetry, automation, orchestration, and engineering productivity tooling.

Influence technology selection, ecosystem alignment, and future infrastructure roadmap direction.

Support evaluation and hiring of senior technical talent across the architecture organization.

Drive cross-functional technical collaboration between architecture, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer teams.

Help define scalable engineering development mechanisms and technical review processes that improve execution quality and architectural consistency.
