Lead Marketing Science Analyst - Retail Media

Location: Pleasanton, CA, 5918 STONERIDGE MALL RD, PLEASANTON, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing Science Engagement Leadership
    • Manage and execute end-to-end Reporting & Measurement projects, data collection, analysis, and insight generation.
    • Ensure methodologies align with company standards and industry best practices in incrementality, attribution, and ROI analysis.
    • Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and client success teams.
  • Support a team of analysts, setting priorities, guiding technical work, and ensuring skill development.
  • Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and client readiness.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Client Engagement
    • Own the full end-to-end analytics process during a campaign lifecycle from pre-campaign audience targeting recommendations, to data QA while the campaign is live to providing actionable insights and recommendations upon the completion of the campaign.
    • Serve as a measurement subject‑matter expert in client meetings, translating data into actionable recommendations.
    • Utilize your knowledge of analytics and statistics to draw insights and interpret complex data to tell a story in a way that is easy for business leaders to understand.
    • Collaborate with account teams to integrate measurement into client success strategies.
    • Develop and present insights in visually compelling and business‑relevant formats.
Qualifications
  • Analytics & Statistics: Proficiency in A/B testing, experimental design, regression modeling, and causal inference.
  • Tools: Strong SQL and Excel skills; proficiency in Python or R; experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Retail Media Knowledge: Understanding of e‑commerce, retail data, loyalty programs, and ad platform metrics.
  • Communication: Ability to distill technical results into compelling business narratives for non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • 5–7 years in analytics, marketing science, or measurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team‑lead capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

Pay Transparency

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range.
